Established since 1972, Chai Watana Tannery Group Public Company Limited is one of the leading manufacturer and exporter of leather finished products and with long experienced in tanning business for more than three decades.
1972	October 7, Kim Charoen Panich Co.,Ltd. Partnership has registered to be Chai Watana Tannery Co., Ltd. With capital investment of 1.6 million baht with policy to produce and export to overseas market.
1973	The company was the first export tannery who has been supported by BOI (The Board of Investment, Thailand)
1979	The company launched leather gloves mainly for overseas market.
1985	The company entered into Dog Chews product and export mainly to USA and Europe.
1987	Introduced Genuine Furniture Leather export mainly to USA, Europe, Japan and Australia.
1991	April 29, the company registered into Thai Stock Market and increased the capital investment to 55 million Baht.
1995	The company has developed Automotive Leather with OEM Standard (Original Equipment Marker)
	The company has expanded to invest in China and affiliated with Hua Lien Group (Holding) to set up new factory to produce and sell Tanned hides for Chinese market and set up new three factories namely : Hua Lien Xian Tannery Co., Ltd. - Xian Province. Hua Lien Xin Hui Tannery Co., Ltd. - Guangdong Province. Hua Lien Jiangmen Co., Ltd. - Guangdong Province.
1996	The company has invested in Pala Asset Co., Ltd. (Pic) with capital investment of 120 million baht to expand production capacity in selling genuine leather.
1997	Entered into Automobile Industry with registration to be AVL (Approved Vendor List) for TOYOTA, HONDA, NISSAN etc.
	Registered to AVL (Approved Vendor List) for General Motor, USA.
1999	May 5, Furniture Division has been certified for Quality System ISO 9002:1994. (Pic1, Pic2)
2001	January 18, Tannery Division and Automotive Division have been certified for Quality System QS-9000:1998.
2002	March 8, Furniture Division have been certified for Quality System ISO 9001:2000. (Pic1, Pic2)
2005	March 21, Pala Asset Co.,Ltd. Has been certified for Quality System ISO/TS16949:2002.
	February 7, Automotive Division has certified by Quality System ISO/TS16949:2002.
	February 14, Tannery Division has certified by Quality System ISO/TS16949:2002.
